I am so glad to see Last Epoch still kicking around. The Diablo-like game is a blast to play, with tons of loot, 15 mastery classes to choose from, and transformative skill trees make this Action RPG a blast to play. The next update for the game, Beneath Ancient Skies, is launching in two days, and a few days ago, we had the full changelog posted, which includes a nice update that should make playing on the Steam Deck even better.

In the changelog of the upcoming patch, we have one specific line that refers to the Steam Deck. It mentions that the Steam Deck should be able to use the Medium graphical preset. This seems to be because of the texture streaming that was enabled for all game assets, which brought down all the VRAM requirements. Now, 2GB cards can use the low preset, while any card that has 4GB VRAM can go up to Medium. We also have a new setting to control the lights emitted by visual effects, which can help in end-game and larger battles.

However, those are just some performance improvements. With this update, we now have chapter 10 of the campaign, wich brings with it 17 new campaign zones and 28 new enemies and variations. There are also new rifts that can randomly open to hunt Rift BEasts to earn Primordial Uniques and Exalted Items. There are six new monolith echo zones, dungeon tier unlocks are now shared between characters that share a stash, and there have been a ton of balancing changes across the board.

There are so many changes that I can't list them all here, but you can check out the full changelog on the Last Epoch forum.
