For those who really like The Sims, but are curious if another game can capture the same joy, inZOI may be right up your alley. It's basically The Sims, but significantly more realistic-looking and has some unique features like custom furniture and motion capture. It's really exciting, and ahead of its launch, developer KRAFTON seemed to be optimistic about playing it on the Steam Deck. However, that optimism was short-lived once we tried the game, and they seem to have backed off a little as well.
Before the release, the inZOI FAQ on their official Discord had a little section that mentioned that the game should run "fine" on the Steam Deck and may need some settings tweaks for optimal play. At the time, this gave me some hope that we could actually get the game running on the Deck. However, after trying it for myself, there was no way that I could give a seal of approval after I was met with sub-30 FPS drops, stutters, and RAM crashes. Afterwards, I checked the FAQ again and realized they had changed their answer to say that the game is not currently supported on the Deck.

I have some mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I am glad they changed their stance instead of keeping it up as running "fine" and possibly convincing others to buy the game and try it themselves. On the other hand, I am surprised they didn't have an idea of how this would perform beforehand. It was clear from the first boot that this was going to be tough to run, so how did they get to the point where they could say it would be "fine" when the minimum specs were already a bit too high?
It feels like they probably jumped the gun a little bit. I do have hope it will be optimized in time, since the team has acknowledged how it runs on the Deck, but without confirmation, it's all speculation. Still, I am glad KRAFTON changed the FAQ to accurately reflect how inZOI runs on the Steam Deck and I can't wait to try this again in the future as early access development progresses.

inZOI can be purchased on Steam for $39.99 and is rated Unsupported.
