I always love finding some crazy free games to check out, and Hellkind is one of the more awesome ones I have seen recently. It's an intriguing horror-puzzle games where you have to get away from an ancient cult before you become part of the ritual. I love the aesthetic a lot, and the gameplay is quite solid too for a short free game. And with this newest update, it is getting ready for better Steam Deck support.

In the new update, which was posted a couple of days ago, developer Emir Arkman noted that some adjustments were made behind the scenes to prepare for a smoother experience on the Deck in the near future. In the paragraph, they also noted that this will be especially focused on the keyboard input part, but leaves open the possibility of just a smoother experience overall:

Steam Deck preparations: Made some adjustments to better support the Steam Deck in the future. This doesn’t change anything visible yet, but it lays the foundation for a smoother experience on the device in the near future. Especially the keyboard input part.

The rest of the small update fixes four other areas of the game. There have been adjustments for volume of different sounds, as well as more 3D sounds added, player hammer control is now correctly paused when the character is invisible, text has been adjusted, and a bug where the bottom prompt would open with an empty box has been fixed.
