Guild Wars Reforged Will Launch Steam Deck Verified

Guild Wars is one of the most iconic MMORPGs I have played. It's gloriously big with very customizable weapons, and honestly, just reeks of classic games that I grew up with and loved. It's a joy to see it still standing, and yesterday, we got a new announcement that will keep it standing for a bit longer. Starting soon, we will get to experience a new update: Guild Wars Reforged.

The new update to Guild Wars is going to be coming quite soon, and will feature tons of different updates to the game across the board. However, that will include full Steam Deck support and a Verified badge! They mention there is new support for modern controllers, UI redesigns with larger text, and support for high DPI displays. All of this should make it significantly better to dive into the original Guild Wars on the go.

But there's more. There are also new visual and audio updates like bloom effects, ambient occlusion, lighting updates to take advantage of modern GPUs, positional audio, and more. We also have a new quest tracking system and on-screen control guide, the updated UI will be easier to navigate, and it all culminates with a new pricetag that bundles all the campaigns together for $19.99. If you are a fan of Guild Wars, this seems like an incredible new update.

Guild Wars Reforged, which will be free for everyone who owns the game or just one of the campaigns, will be available on December 3rd. This doesn't just encompass one update either, as we will be seeing multiple updates down the line to further improve the game.
