A big, but often overlooked part of any game is its music. That's no different in the upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive, which is launching on April 24th, 2025. So to celebrate the game's music, they've released a "Behind the Music" video to dive deeper into the music featured in the game.

You can check it out below:

The video explores game composer Lorien Testard's love of video game soundtracks, and how he brought his vision to life with the score of Expedition 33. It also features an interview with Alice Duport-Percier, singer and vocal composer for the game, diving into how her creative process benefited the soundtrack too.

Within the new video, the game’s composer Lorien Testard details his love of video game soundtracks from a young age and how he channeled his talent and vision into the fantasy world of Expedition 33 with his emotional and evocative score. The featurette also includes an interview with Alice Duport-Percier, the game’s singer and vocal composer, sharing additional insight into her creative process and the journey taken to bring the music of Expedition 33 to life.

If you want a sample of the kind of music you can look forward to, then check out the official music video for the game's theme below:

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available to pre-order now on Steam and will be available on April 24th, 2025. The game's system requirements are above what the Steam Deck can usually play, but there's always the chance the developers are being cautious and we'll be able to run this one.
