I was overjoyed when one of my favorite 4X games finally got a sequel, and it’s just getting better and better. Endless Legend 2 is a blast for me, combining RPG elements and 4X strategy into one beautiful experience. There have been a good chunk of updates for it already, but the newest one is going to make it much easier to play on the Steam Deck.

Update #21, Voice of the People, has just been released with a bunch of changes across the board. But for those of us who are playing on the Steam Deck, the official inclusion of controller support is going to be the highlight. This is going to make it significantly easier to navigate to UI on the Deck, and that’s going to make it much better to play overall. The update also includes some nice fixes for the Deck, including allowing us to change the UI back to its original format, fixing some cropped information, and making sure the battle preview will always be shown in multiplayer.
That all helps with playing on the go, but there are a bunch of changes on top of that. There have been changes to the public opinion system, badges are now included to represent a pattern of behavior, Kin of Sheredyn has been reworked, Anomaly Districts have been brought back from the first game, we have a brand new Army Panel, and more.
You can check out the full change log via their Steam Community Post.

Endless Legend 2 is on sale for $29.99 until April 26th and is rated Playable due to needing to bring up the virtual keyboard manually and small in-game text.
