While there are a lot of cozy life simulator games out now, Dragon Song Tavern stood out to me because of its art style. I already love the whole gameplay loop of gathering ingredients, farming, turn-based combat, and cooking systems, but I love the aesthetic, which reminds me of a painting. Thanks to the latest update, it's also getting a lot better on the Steam Deck.

The update has two specific optimizations for the Steam Deck, which should make it much better to play on the go. The font rendering has been optimized, as well as the default display resolution has been adjusted. This should make it easier to read text on the smaller screen, and not have to change as many graphical settings for optimal play.
On top of those, the update also fixes some issues with the screen resolution being abnormally changed and keyboard/mouse inputs causing the controller to become unresponsive. EXP gained from high-level players defeating monsters in low-level areas has been reduced, while all non-human enemies have reduced HP as well. There were also some nice bug fixes, including one with the incorrect display of text and monster drops not displaying correctly in logs.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Dragon Song Tavern is on sale for $17.91 until tomorrow June 5th.
