I still find it hard to believe that Days Gone is actually playable on the Steam Deck. Fending against hundreds of zombies on screen would usually be too much for the portable device, but I was wrong, and it's awesome. Even though the game isn't perfect, it's a lot of fun, and with the newest update, it should be more enjoyable on the Steam Deck.

Days Gone

In the newest update, we have some fixes to the overall game, as well as the Steam Deck. Specifically, the vibration slider wasn't working correctly when using it on the Deck, and this update should fix that! This means we can now set the vibration accordingly, and as someone who prefers it off, I appreciate it.

The patch also includes a bunch of fixes and changes, like intro videos being automatically skipped if you already have a save file, screensaver/sleep mode won't kick players if they are idle in-game, and updates to the touchpad deadzone. There are also fixes for Gwoler locations in New Game Plus, screen flashing black randomly, permadeath saves should be loadable again, and the Time of Day slider in Photo Mode will properly reset when it needs to.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
