Cryptmaster is still one of the more interesting dungeon crawlers I have ever seen. Being able to type in the actions you want to make and even guess what you find in the chests is really intriguing. It fits quite well on the Steam Deck, but unfortunately, there have been some issues that have increased input lag. in the game's newest update, these issues should be gone!

In the new 1.04.1 update, there was a couple of fixes that directly helped using a gamepad, and two that were specific to the Steam Deck. There were changes/fixes to the joypad system that fixed input lag and improved virtual joypad navigation. There was also some support implementing for upscaling minimap text to make it more readable on the Deck's small screen. This all ties into the new predictive text input that is being implemented.
The new virtual text predictive system is a way to make typing in words much faster and easier when using a gamepad or the virtual joypad for text input. It removes the old system that is implemented and the team is revising it consistently. The update also brings in new 5120x1440 ultrawide support, fixes achievements, and adds a new option to disable eating sounds, which could be annoying.
You can check out the full changelog for this update via the Steam Community Post.

Cryptmaster is available on Steam for $24.99.
