Protecting a country's border sounds like an extremely difficult job, and Contraband Police gives us a chance to experience that. As the border guard inspector of a communist country in the 1980s, we will have to check documents, vehicles, and even get into shootouts as we work hard to protect our country. The game also got a brand new update, which has some nice Steam Deck improvements.

There are three specific ones here, but the biggest one is a brand new Performance Mode option. This was created to give the option of having a higher FPS while playing, which is nice. We also have fixes for an issue that prevented selecting the Entry Regulation field in your inspection report and delayed navigation between fields in the same report.
The rest of the update includes other fixes in different areas. Text wrapping for passports and unloaded cargo shaking during inspections, missing enemies in a road ambush and no reward for completing ambushes, and a bug that allowed purchasing money from the trader during the tutorial have all been fixed.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Contraband Police is on sale for $14.09 until August 7th and is rated Verified.
