Backrooms: Escape Together continues to improve despite being out for a few years. While it is not my personal go-to co-op game, it has certainly done well on Steam! The new 0.128 update builds upon the 0.12 patch in September with some solid new additions, including official HDR support for the Steam Deck.

The previous major update was all about optimization, and in this patch, it’s all about the audio! The update brings a major audio overhaul that boosts immersion, adds a hidden secret in Level 0 hinting at the next level, improves controller/menu support and PS5 DualSense haptics, and more. Overall, it is a solid patch, and the improved sound design should boost the game. And of course, the official support for Steam Deck OLED models makes it even better to play on the go.

Backrooms: Escape Together is $9.99 and rated Steam Deck Playable due to needing a community controller configuration and small in-game text.
