The Atelier Yumia demo will allow players to play through the game's prologue and get introduced to the main characters, the new synthesis and combat systems, and the open field area of the Ligneus region. So you'll be able to get a good feel of the game and see whether or not it's one for you.
Your saved data can also be carried over from the demo to the full game, so if you want to get a headstart on things, the demo is a great way to do that.
