Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment have just released 20 minutes of gameplay for their upcoming title, The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Fans can see the combat mechanics, magic, and traversal during the showcase for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Fans get the chance to see all the different strategies that can be used to complete quests and progress further in the game. However, some strategies can also influence the story of the game. Players can play The Blood of Dawnwalker in 2026, and it is available for wishlist on Steam now.

The trailer shows the game state as captured on PC from the latest pre-beta build of the game. The final level of quality and polish of the game is still in progress as development is ongoing. Rebel Wolves are hoping to be transparent with the game and their communication, not employing CGI trickery in their trailer.

Coen’s journey is shaped by diving into and exploring the harsh world of The Blood of Dawnwalker. Players will navigate through the swamps, towering mountains, abandoned ruins, and dark caves as they progress. The medieval life masks the effect of a vampire regime in the Svartrau, the biggest city in the region. The players’ choice and behavior influence the reaction of the civilians, and moonlit rooftops reveal hidden secrets at night.

Coen is a hybrid as he’s not fully a human or vampire. He can wield a sword and magical runes as bloody scars on his skin. Coen becomes more powerful in the dark, gaining access to new, powerful abilities and getting more supernatural movesets. Lethal vampiric claws and Shadowstep are included in his nighttime abilities. Using these abilities allows him to get across the rooftops of the building. All you need to do is learn the enemy's movements, block precisely, and time counterattacks to defeat the enemy on the battlefield.

Coen uses the bloodlust to grapple that amplifies during the nighttime. Use the different methods, like drinking the blood of defeated foes, including vampires, innocent villagers, or animals, or by using special blood vials to fulfill the hunger. If the hunger is not fulfilled, then the abilities of Coen weaken over time, and he loses control, which can lead to a slow death.
