Lunacid: Tears of the Moon Proton Experimental

There was a new Proton Experimental update with even more fixes and new playable games. Cool People Club is now playable, while Lunacid: Tears of the Moon and Ligo are both playable again after recent updates broke compatibility. The intro videos for Grand Theft Auto 3 will now play again, controller support for Far Cry 4 is working reliably again, and RaceRoom Racing Experience will load the HUD during races.

The new update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

Proton Experimental 9/4/26 Update Changelog:

  • Now playable: Cool People Club.
  • Fixed Achron displaying warning about missing fonts.
  • Fixed rendering issues affecting the carpet in The I of the Dragon.
  • Fixed controller not working reliably in Far Cry 4.
  • Fixed Proton 11 regressions:
    • RaceRoom Racing Experience will now load the HUD in-game during races.
    • Lunacid: Tears of the Moon is playable again.
    • Ligo is playable again.
    • Intro videos in Grand Theft Auto III play again.
