Secrets of Grindea Proton Experimental

A new Proton Experimental update was released that fixes more issues with games and makes even more new games playable. Modules, Distant Worlds 2, and Chronology are all now playable, and there have been fixes for Secrets of Grindea, ARC Raiders, The Finals, Crystal of Atlan, and more. Wine Mono was also updated to 10.4.0.

The new Proton Experimental update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

Proton Experimental 12/9/25 Update Changelog:

  • Now playable: Girls' Frontline, Modules, Distant Worlds 2, Chronology.
  • Fixed Mystery Manor: Hidden Objects not displaying anything on gamescope.
  • Fixed broken account switching in Crystal of Atlan with gamescope.
  • Fixed Adventures Of Fluzz wrongly displaying "No Device" window which made game unplayable with gamescope.
  • Fixed in-game browser in Figmin XR.
  • Fixed music playback in Transcendence.
  • Fixed black blocks in dialog windows created by ARC Raiders and The Finals.
  • Fixed Revolver360 Re:Actor crashing on keyboard input.
  • Fixed text input in Secrets of Grindea.
  • Updated Wine Mono to 10.4.0.
