Far Cry 4 Proton Experimental

A new Proton Experimental update was released that fixes issues in three different games. Xalia will now interact correctly with dialogues that pop up in ARC Raiders, UNO and Far Cry 4 will now start again as they should, and voice line playback in Rigid Force Alpha should play as intended as well.

The new Proton Experimental update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

Proton Experimental 11/26/25 Update Changelog:

  • Fixed Xalia not interacting correctly with dialogs produced by ARC Raiders.
  • Fixed Proton Experimental regression that caused games like Uno and Far Cry 4 to not start.
  • Fixed voice line playback in Rigid Force Alpha.
