There was a new Steam Deck Client update that was released yesterday, just in time for the new hardware launch. This update adds full Steam Controller support, as well as some settings and pop-up messages for when controllers disconnect and reconnect. There are also some fixes for achievements and the network status icon being unusually large.
You can download and install the new update through the System settings on your Steam Deck.

- Steam Controller Support
- Added popup message when a controller connects or disconnects.
- Added setting to enable or disable controller battery notifications.
- Improved the Add A Controller user interface
- Reordered the items in the power button chord menu so it's harder to accidentally put your device to sleep.
- Fixed the header networks status icon being larger than intended
- Fixed locked achievement sorting listing rarer achievements before less rare.
