Trash Goblin is surprisingly wholesome and comfortable to play despite the title, and the developers have been hard at work making the game run as smooth as possible on the Steam Deck. As of this week’s 1.2 update, the game got some wonderful updates to officially get it on track to earn the Steam Deck Verified badge, amongst a slew of new trinkets.

This is a chunky patch, and the Steam Deck optimizations in this update are impressive with better performance, a multitude of tweaks to improve controls across the board, and better font sizes that play nicely with the 800p screen. This all should help earn it that Verified badge, marking it as very enjoyable and perfect to play on the go.

The new Trash Goblin patch also adds 25 new trinkets to recycle, a new cosmetic set from the Harvest Festival, a redesigned game guide, a dedicated pause menu, and a slew of bug fixes.
