The Rogue Prince of Persia is one of Ubisoft's best games that they have published in recent years. It really does feel like the perfect Prince of Persia game, and with the recent updates, it has become even harder to stay away. As a Ubisoft-published game, there was an expectation that it would eventually include Ubisoft Connect DRM when it launched out of early access. However, it appears that won't be happening after all!

In a new Steam Community Post, developer Evil Empire has clarified that there will not be any Ubisoft Connect DRM at any point for the game. This differs from their previous update a week ago, which noted that Denuvo would not appear at all and that Ubisoft Connect will be an optional-only feature when the game launches into 1.0. This means the team will have to find another way to implement cross-saves since Ubisoft Connect was needed for that.
They also confirmed there will be no price increase next month, which is a nice touch, but they will be raising the price at some point in the future. Still, the team is very hard at work putting in tons of new content. Their roadmaps talks about new enemies, skins, improvements, mini-bosses, and much more coming within the next year.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is on sale for the Winter Sale at 25% off for $14.99. It is rated Steam Deck Verified.
