Epic is giving away a free game every single day for the holidays, and today, we have a fantastic horror game to play at night. The Callisto Protocol is Epic's seventh free game they are giving away, and I think it's worth redeeming.

The Callisto Protocol

Directed by Glen Schofield, the creator of the Dead Space series, we take on the role of Jacob Lee, who survives a crash landing on a moon. He will have to escape from a high-security prison and fight for survival as a mysterious illness is taking over the prison and transforming its inhabitants. As someone who loves the Dead Space series, I immediately jumped into The Callisto Protocol, and I had a blast with it.

The Callisto Protocol is rated Steam Deck Verified and can run quite well on it. It should be playable throughout at 30 FPS with some decent visuals, though it could look a little better. Still, it's worth playing, and I think it's quite worthwhile to enjoy on the go.
