Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced that Goku (SS4, DAIMA) is all set to join the roster of DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ in spring 2026. Following the news, a new major update is out now that brings some balance adjustments, improving the experience for all players.
Moreover, DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ Masters Showdown brings pro players to an exhibition event to compete against each other. The showdown will occur from April 18 and 19, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, USA. This allows fans to take their favorite DRAGON BALL characters into battle and bring to bear some of the most famous moves from the DRAGON BALL universe.

And why is this news here? It’s Unsupported on Steam Deck due to anti-cheat. What’s the point in highlighting it??
The game actually does work offline with Proton GE 9-23 and up, but playing online is a no-go. Since the game can still be played and enjoyed offline, I decided it was relevant still!
The Unsupported rating is somewhat correct with online and the stable Proton branch, but it is playable on the Deck offline.
Sorry but this is ridiculous. It shouldn’t get any kind of shout on SteamDeckHQ.
