Just a day ago, Valve released a new SteamOS beta update that fixed an issue that could hurt the performance of some games. There was a regression that ended up stopping the Steam Deck from downloading pre-compiled shaders, which are used to smoothen out any stuttering that can happen from in-game shader compilation. This update fixes the issue, so we should be able to download pre-compiled shaders without issue again.
You can update to the new SteamOS version by going to your Steam Deck settings and finding the System tab. From there, just search for updates and install!
