Valve has been going quite crazy lately regarding Verified/Playable games, and this week was no different! With TONS of games that have been upgraded, here are 19 that we found that felt worth mentioning!

Verified or Playable games do not automatically mean they work amazing right out-of-the-box. Some of these games still require work to optimize and play well.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection (Verified)

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings together six classic titles in one game: Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent. The collection also features Z-Chaser, an exclusive new mode created just for this set of games. These platformers will have you running, dashing, gunning, and slashing your way through robots to a popping soundtrack that feels unmatched! The collection is $30 on Steam.

The DioField Chronicle (Verified)

A new Strategy RPG, brought to you by Square EnixAn all-new Strategy RPG that chronicles an epic tale of war and honour. Featuring a unique and beautiful world that blends fantasy, medieval and modern-day influences, and a deep yet innovative real-time battle system. DioField is $60 on Steam.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (Verified)

For the love of god try this series. If you are a fan of turn-based JRPGs and want one of the best stories told in a JRPG, this is the way to go. While I recommend starting with Trails in the Sky, this is still a fantastic game. It is $40 on Steam currently.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong (Playable)

Ride into a hilarious construction puzzler; packed with over 100 creative physics-based challenges, sports and bloody disasters! Build contraptions to help every passenger reach their destination. Enjoy the sports by controlling your riders away from (or towards if you feel like it) peril! The game is $15 on Steam and rated Playable due to small text, needing the on-screen keyboard, and needing a community configuration.

Warhammer 40,000: Galdius - Relics of War (Playable)

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War brings you to a world of terror and violence. Four factions will engage in a brutal war for dominance over the planet’s resources. In the first turn-based 4X strategy game set in Warhammer 40,000 you will lead one of four unique factions to victory. The game is $40 and rated Playable due to needing the on-screen keyboard and showing non-Steam Deck controller icons.

Rounds is a 1v1 rogue-lite shooter where each round gets more intense. The losing player of each round unlocks clever upgrades to create a better build to counter their opponent. This is such a fun game and one I have played with my friends way more than I care to admit! It is $6 and rated Playable due to small in-game text and non-Steam Deck controller icons.

Thymesia (Playable)

Thymesia is a gruelling action-RPG with fast-paced combat and an intricate plague weapon system. In a kingdom where death spreads, play as a mysterious character known by the code name "Corvus". Prey upon your enemies, wield the power of disease and find the truth in your own memories. SDHQ reviewed Thymesia on release and enjoyed the faster take on the souls-like formula! It is $25 on Steam and rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Call of the Sea (Verified)

Call of the Sea is an otherworldly tale of mystery and love set in the 1930s South Pacific. Explore a lush island paradise, solve puzzles and unlock secrets in the hunt for your husband’s missing expedition. The game is vibrant and gorgeous with a wonderful story. It is $20 on Steam and try it with the Vibrancy plugin to really make those colors POP!

Potion Permit (Verified)

Moonbury's residents need healing, and you're the best chemist around! With your trusty tools, a brewing cauldron, and a canine companion at your side, you'll need to diagnose symptoms, gather ingredients, brew potions, and cure ailments in this open-ended sim RPG. SDHQ did review Potion Permit and felt it was an incredible experience on the Steam Deck! It is $20 on Steam.

Postal: Brain Damaged (Verified)

POSTAL: Brain Damaged is a new, action-oriented take on the Running With Scissors’ cult game series with throwback graphics, and fast-paced, modern gameplay. Take a wild roller coaster ride through the twisted wonderland encased in the POSTAL DUDE’S messed-up mind. The game is $20 on Steam.

Ubermosh (Verified)

UBERMOSH is an arcade game about cutting bullets with a sword, in a gun-filled cyberpunk mosh pit. Like a pinball table or a coin-op arcade machine, UBERMOSH was made to give you a shot of adrenaline in a couple of minutes. Each time you play a new level is generated for you to beat your score in 90 seconds. The game is currently $0.50 until October 11th, but will go back up to $1 after.

Bulletstorn: Full Clip Edition (Playable)

Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition (Playable)

The game is $25 on Steam and rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration.

Ghost 'n Goblins Resurrection (Verified)

Taking cues from both Ghosts 'n Goblins and Ghouls 'n Ghosts and giving birth to something entirely new, Resurrection is a title worthy of its name. Take part in this difficult side scroller that defined a generation! The game is $30 on Steam.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced (Playable)

Think GTA, but crazy and with super powers. That is basically SR4. The game is $15 normally, but on sale for $3.75 until 10/10.

Use your wits to gather info from your witnesses and suspects, getting to the bottom of deceptive schemes. The game continually adapts to your decisions and never judges. The game is $24 on Steam!

Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe! When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore. Now, the classic FPS has been restored and enhanced with a new visual engine and exciting new features to sink your teeth into! The game is $20 on Steam and rated Playable due to small in-game text and non-Steam Deck controller icons. It also has a native Linux build!

Ultimate Chicken Horse (Verified)

Ultimate Chicken Horse is a party platformer game where you build the level as you play, placing traps and hazards to screw your friends over, but trying not to screw yourself. This is another incredible multiplayer game that I promise will be worth you and your friends time! It is $15 on Steam and has a native Linux build!
