Another week has passed and we had a lot of new Steam Deck verified and playable games. Specifically, we also had one of the biggest releases on Steam this week with Baldur's Gate 3, which also became Verified on the Steam Deck, though it maybe shouldn't be. Here are our highlights from the past week:
Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing right out-of-the-box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here is our thoughts on the Verified system and how we think it can be fixed.
Baldur's Gate 3 (Verified)
Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power in this next generation RPG. With online multiplayer, turn-based combat, an expansive story, and so much you can do in the world, Baldur's Gate 3 is a wonderful time.
Baldur's Gate 3 is truly an incredible game that you shouldn't miss, but it also shouldn't be Verified due to the fact that the default configuration doesn't run at a stable framerate. To explain this better, check out our opinion piece about how the Verified System is broken and what we could do to fix it.
