There were some great new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games this week. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and Halo: Campaign Evolved both got the green checkmark, while the upcoming Onimusha: Way of the Sword got the Playable badge.

Here are the 12 highlights we found:

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (Verified)

Onimusha: Way of the Sword (Playable)

An Oni Gauntlet-wielding samurai makes a stand in Kyoto against the encroaching Genma menace. Through gritty, blood-soaked brawls, he searches for his reason to fight. What fate awaits at the end of his path?

The game can be pre-purchased for $69.99 ahead of its September 3rd release date and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Halo: Campaign Evolved (Verified)

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a faithful yet modernized remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign. Experience the original story rebuilt with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, refined controls, plus a brand-new three-mission adventure featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. Just Cause 2 (Verified)

Dive into an adrenaline-fuelled free-roaming adventure. As agent Rico Rodriguez, your orders are to find and kill your friend and mentor who has disappeared on the island paradise of Panau. EMPULSE (Playable)

EMPULSE is a fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter. Wall-run, grapple, Holojump, pilot mechs, and P.A.I.N.T. your way through Freehold's vertical streets. Outmove your opponent or get outgunned.

The game is $19.99 and is rated Playable due to needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard.

Tales of Eternia Remastered (Verified)

Tales of Eternia returns as a remastered edition! As the threat of world destruction looms, an epic journey begins to determine the fate of two worlds: Inferia and Celestia.

The game will be released on October 15th and is rated Verified.

Pathologic 3 (Playable)

Melody's Escape 2 (Verified)

Run to the rhythm of your own music library! Melody is back, with vastly improved audio analysis algorithms. Each MP3 creates a unique obstacle course synchronized to the beat and the intensity of your music.

Intrusion 2 (Playable)

Intrusion 2 is an action platformer set in a sci-fi environment on a reserve planet occupied by a hostile military corporation conducting forbidden weapon research. Intrusion 2 is inspired by classic 16bit era sidescrollers and focuses on classic fast-paced action combined with modern physics and animation.

Empire Earth II: Gold Edition (Playable)

Empire Earth II: Gold Edition refines the series’ time-spanning gameplay with a host of new features. With advanced AI, picture-in-picture control, dynamic weather and many other additions, this RTS doesn’t just stand the test of time – it annihilates it.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, small in-game text, and not supporting the Deck's resolution.
