A new Steam Deck Client update was released earlier today that includes some fixes we saw make it to the Beta branch recently. The SteamOS startup movie will now play at the correct size, the UI Scale slider will always show up, note changes won't be lost when you go offline, and games on Steam won't launch before all cloud save files have been synchronized.
You can download and install the new update through the System settings on your Steam Deck.
Steam Deck Client 4/23/25 Update Changelog:

Steam Play
