Star Birds launched earlier this month, and it is a gorgeous base builder by the same people behind Dorfromantik. While a successful launch, it had some nasty bugs, especially on the Steam Deck, where placing a launchpad while moving the mouse could cause softlocks. However, thanks to patch 0.1.2, this is now fixed with some new features.

Most of the patch notes for Star Birds include optimization improvements, crash fixes, a new progress bar to track achievements, and some control tweaks, especially when using a gamepad. The patch also adds an autosave function that can be toggled in the settings. There are also new descriptions for the wiki entries.
While a minor patch, it contains a lot of polish, and the Steam Deck softlock fix should help the experience considerably.

Star Birds is on sale for $17.99 until September 24th on Steam with a Playable rating, citing small in-game text and entering text requires using the on screen keyboard.
