Raw Fury’s latest publisher preview gave us a hands-on look at three upcoming indie games: Knights in Tight Spaces, Craftlings, and Blue Prince. While we played them on PC, we’re diving into how they could perform on the Steam Deck based on official developer insights, community reports, and our own analysis.
Knights in Tight Spaces – Tactical Deck-Building in Confined Arenas
If you’ve played Fights in Tight Spaces, this medieval spin will feel familiar—except this time, you’re controlling a full party instead of just one character. The game blends turn-based deck-building with positional combat, forcing players to think ahead, manipulate enemies, and pull off powerful team-based combos. The new party system allows for strategic synergy between characters, and the Revenge & Legacy mechanics create persistent consequences for choices made throughout the game.

The game is optimized for controller support and UI legibility, ensuring a smooth experience on Steam Deck. Developers have confirmed it is expected to be Steam Deck Verified at launch. The latest demo has already been tested by Valve and is currently rated “Playable” on Steam Deck, with minor optimizations in progress to achieve full verification. Performance-wise, Knights in Tight Spaces should run at a stable 60 FPS at 800p with battery life estimated around four hours at that frame rate, potentially longer with a 40 FPS cap. Minor text scaling tweaks may be needed, but otherwise, the game should be playable right away.
Release Window: Spring 2025 (Early Access expected in Q2 2025)
Steam Deck Status: Currently Playable, expected to be Verified at launch
Craftlings – A Relaxing Colony Builder with Automation
Craftlings combines elements of Terraria and Lemmings, featuring resource gathering, construction, and automation. Players will be able to manage small creatures that help collect materials and optimize production lines with conveyor belts, cargo lifts, and destructible environments. The mix of structured objectives and freeform building allows for creative play while maintaining a clear sense of progression.

Developers have stated that Craftlings is expected to be Steam Deck Verified at launch, with full controller support and scalable UI elements. Promotional materials have even used the tag “Steam Deck Verified”, indicating the developers are targeting full compatibility. The game is designed to be lightweight, running at 60 FPS on high settings without stressing the Deck’s hardware. With an estimated battery life of over five hours, Craftlings is shaping up to be an ideal Deck game for long play sessions.
Release Window: 2025
Steam Deck Status: Likely Verified at launch.
Blue Prince – A First-Person Mystery with a Changing Mansion
A first-person mystery game where the mansion itself is a puzzle, Blue Prince offers a unique gameplay mechanic where players collect room blueprints to rearrange and explore the environment. The game features roguelike progression, meaning every day the mansion resets, presenting new challenges and opportunities for discovery.

The developers have confirmed full controller support, but UI scaling may be a factor on the Steam Deck due to some smaller text elements. Blue Prince is currently labeled “Playable” on Steam Deck, which means it runs well but may have minor issues requiring adjustments for full verification. Early demo players have praised the game’s immersive atmosphere and strategy-based puzzle-solving. Performance-wise, Blue Prince may require some graphical tweaks, running around 30-40 FPS on high settings but potentially reaching 60 FPS with adjustments. Battery life is estimated at 3-4 hours due to its Unreal Engine 4 rendering.
Release Window: Spring 2025
Steam Deck Status: Currently Playable, may be Verified closer to launch
Final Thoughts – Are These Raw Fury Games Steam Deck Ready?
Knights in Tight Spaces and Craftlings are expected to be Steam Deck Verified at launch, making them excellent choices for handheld play. Blue Prince is currently Playable but may need some UI optimizations before reaching full verification. Each game brings something unique to the table: Knights for tactical strategy, Craftlings for automation-based creativity, and Blue Prince for immersive, puzzle-driven storytelling.
We’ll revisit these games when they launch for a full Steam Deck performance breakdown. Stay tuned for Part Two, where we’ll explore Post Trauma and its survival horror experience on Deck!
