World of Warships Proton GE

Yesterday, two small hotfixes for Proton GE were released. The first one, 8-18, added in the Alan Wake protonfix, which was forgotten in 8-17. The second one, 8-19, added a workaround for World of Warships login hang. Both are smaller updates, so unless you are playing one of these two games, I wouldn't say it's necessary, but it isn't a bad idea to download 8-19 if you haven't updated yet.

Proton GE 8-18 Update Changelog:

  • For some reason the Alan Wake protonfix was missing from the last release even though it was noted in the release notes. This is a small hotfix to actually add it this time.

Proton GE 8-19 Update Changelog:

  • Added workaround that fixes World of Warships login hang introduced in upstream proton since GE-Proton8-5: ValveSoftware#333 (comment)
