A new Proton Experimental update was pushed out earlier today that adds in some nice fixes for multiple games across the board. Overwatch 2's controller input has been fixed, logging into Gears 5 works again, and Doom Eternal no longer crashes with ray-tracing enabled. On top of these fixes and more, Valve implemented English speech recognition for Phasmophobia, which allows you to use the speech feature in the game:

- Fixed game stutter in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.
- Fixed keyboard input registering with a delay and getting stuck in Wild Hearts.
- Fixed Escape from Monkey Island getting minimized on a mouse click.
- Fixed Overwatch 2 stopping to register controller inputs after an online match has started.
- Implemented English speech recognition for Phasmophobia.
- Fixed Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition failing to launch after a recent game update.
- Fixed Microsoft Flight Simulator crashing in accessibility settings.
- Fixed a few Proton 8.0 regressions:
- Logging in online in Gears 5 works again.
- Doom Eternal no longer crashes with ray-tracing enabled on AMDVLK / Nvidia.
