Not too long ago, I discovered Nova Drift, and while I haven't purchased it yet, it truly looks amazing. I am a sucker for solid roguelikes, and Nova Drift looks like a perfect addition to my ever-growing library of them. It has beautiful visuals and ARPG mechanics that look addicting to play around with. And sporting an overwhelmingly positive user review score, this looks like a worthwhile purchase overall, especially if you are planning to play on the Steam Deck.

The newest patch for the game is more like a hotfix, and it revolves all around the Steam Deck to get it worthy of a green checkmark from Valve. These changes include fixing greyed out settings, whether Window Size can be selected, fixing overlapping sprites, better wrapped text in end game unlock messages, and upgrading screen descriptions to comply with the text requirements for the Deck.

Hopefully, all of this will help get the game to the Verified status. Currently, Nova Drift is rated playable for showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text. From the hotfix, it sounds like the text should be fixed up, and hopefully, this applies to the controller icons, too. Nothing from this hotfix helped the icons, but the last update checked out all of the controller glyphs to make sure it is all up to date. So this update should hopefully be the one that gets Nova Drift that Verified badge.

You can check out the full changelog for this hotfix via their Steam Community Post.
