Nitro Gen Omega is an awesome turn-based RPG launched in Early Access in June. You run your own shonen anime, and the sandbox mech battles make this game pretty refreshing! A new patch is now out for Nitro Gen Omega that brings great performance improvements across the board, especially on the Steam Deck.

This patch is big for us, as the open-world experience is greatly improved now on the Steam Deck, and the average FPS is now over 30 for the whole game. The team optimized the open world, along with textures and streaming, to ensure that the framerate would stick above 30 FPS the whole time, and it's greatly appreciated.

There are also new features, including a reworked sonar system, plenty of new mission types in the overworld, an improved interface, more character customization, and a slew of bugfixes.

Nitro Gen Omega is available for $19.99 on Steam. It is currently rated Unsupported, but according to this update, it should now be decently playable.
