Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is easily one of the best RPGs this year, and it has only been two full months. It is such a detailed and enjoyable experience with fantastic combat, a great story, and a gorgeous package. It is also great on the Steam Deck and worth playing on the go. Today, developer Warhorse Studios released a new update that includes a fix for playing on the Deck and includes some fantastic new features.

The one specific Steam Deck fix with this update has to do with button prompts. There have been some issues with incorrect button prompts showing up when playing on the Deck, so with this update, it should all be fixed. There have also been some optimizations for performance in Kuttenberg, which is one of the biggest areas that it could drop on the Deck, so that could help a lot.
The rest of the update includes a bunch of fixes and adjustments across the board, but there are two big features that were added. The biggest one by far is official mod support. With the 1.2 patch, the Steam Workshop is now available, introducing ways for the community to modify the game, like changing models and adding new features. There's also a new Barber feature where you can get a new haircut in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg.
On top of those, there are improved lighting effects and fire textures when Alchemy, better dying animations for cows and bulls, rebalanced stealth items and the prices of horse equipment, better visual indication of a workpiece cooling when blacksmithing, improved female poses and animations, day cycles for villagers in Suchdol at night have been fixed, and much much more.
You can check out the full changelog for the update on Kingdom Come's website.
