Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer just got a release date announcement today and will launch on May 20 on PC.

RawFury and developer Clifftop Games shared their upcoming thriller for Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer, which will launch next month. This is going to be the second installment of the detective series. She is embarking once again on a deadly case, pursuing the notorious serial killer, The Soothsayer.

Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer is set in 1998, after her investigation in Conwell Springs. She’s now on the hunt to solve a brand-new case in the big city of Kassidy, where multiple murders have occurred. Players will be helping Kathy Rain get clues and evidence to connect the dots and find the serial killer.

Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer is an intense point-and-click thriller game with an emotional storyline. The game offers pixel-art style graphics, which are made to still pass muster at higher resolutions. It also features dynamic lightning and surface reflections, making the setting more immersive.

The investigation mechanics are the core gameplay for Kathy Rain 2 and can help her track and connect threads for possible outcomes. Players can make notes of what they find interesting for later, to help them in solving the case.

According to developers Clifftop Games, it’s one of their biggest settings yet, both in terms of narrative and the variety of characters and locations. Moreover, Arielle Siegel returns as Kathy Rain, alongside other familiar voices in supportive roles.
