The holiday spirit is among us, and if you are a fan of getting games for free, Epic is going to be your first spot to check daily for the next week or two. To celebrate the holidays, Epic is giving away one new free game every day, with each one only lasting one day to redeem and add to your account. Today is the first day for this, and they are kicking it off with a wonderful roguelike.

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is a horde-survivor game with roguelike elements based on Norse Mythology. You will fight waves of enemies, earn blessings, and grow stronger as you explore worlds, complete in-run missions, and unlock new perks while demolishing monsters coming at you. It's a lot of fun, and with it being completely free to redeem, there's no reason not to take advantage of it.

On top of that, the game is fantastic on the Steam Deck. We reviewed the game and found it to fit wonderfully on the Deck, with some tweaks to the settings and a 45 FPS limit. This makes the game look great, feel smooth, and stay very playable. Ultimately, this is a wonderful experience, and with the price point of free, there's no reason not to take advantage of it.
