Heroic Launcher

A new update for the Heroic Games Launcher, the open-source launcher for Epic, GOG, and Amazon games on the Steam Deck, was released earlier today, filled with fixes following the fantastic big 1.27.0 update. The fixes different UI issues like making sure the DXVK-NVAPI option is hidden on the Steam Deck, while also fixing the new Nord Light theme and showing the Flatpak's runtime version when missing mangohud/gamescope.

This comes hot off the heels of the 2.17.0 update, which features some significant changes. There's a new Game Page design, a new setting to download Proton versions directly to the Steam compatibility folder, updates with Legendary to fix launching issues with Rockstar Games, fixed RemotePlay, and much more. You can also select an image file when sideloading, opening up more games that can be added to Heroic's library.

Both of these updates should automatically be downloaded through the Discover Store, which is where we get the Heroic Launcher. I love both of these updates, though, and it just solidifies how Heroic is my go-to launcher for playing Epic and GOG games easily on the Steam Deck.
