First Dwarf looks like quite an intriguing game. It's an Action RPG where you will build up your own colony while fighting off enemies in real-time combat and upgrading all of your tools and structures along the way. It's a cool concept that looks quite fun to play, even in its early access form, and it sounds like it just got a lot better to play on the go.

A couple of days ago, First Dwarf got a new update that supposedly makes it significantly better to play on the Deck. We officially have beta support for the Steam Deck, with the developer stating that it should be fully playable with all the features of the game. However, split-screen co-op is not great yet because of all the information displayed, and you will still need to adjust the quality settings manually. We also have cloud save support, so all saves will be stored in the cloud moving forward.

But that's not all! The new update also brings with it some nice improvements like bigger EXP rewards from tougher foes, enemy waves and nests now displayed on the map, monsters that spit acid also drop acid items, new visual effects, improved enemy wave targeting, new voiceovers, and animation improvements, and so much more.

You can view the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

First Dwarf can be purchased on Steam for $24.99.
