There is something special about Bethesda RPGs that makes them so much fun to keep coming back to and mod. The Fallout series has been one of my personal favorites, and while the best one for a lot of people was Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas, I will always prefer Fallout 3. The game feels like an incredible take on a futuristic apocalypse, and I loved the Mothership Zeta DLC, which saw you fighting off aliens. And Epic's next free game is going to give everyone the chance to experience this themselves!

To celebrate the holidays, Epic is giving away a free game every day on the Epic Games Store. Today is the 4th game they are giving away, and it is Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition. This version of the expansive RPG comes with the full game and all 5 expansions that came out for it, including Mothership Zeta and Broken Steel, which increased the level cap.
The game may be a bit on the older side, coming out in 2008, but it still holds up extremely well today, thanks to mods and a great base to work with. I am an extremely huge fan of the game, and it runs extremely well. Per Steam, Fallout 3 GOTY is $19.99 MSRP and rated Playable on the Steam Deck due to the launcher and entering text with the virtual keyboard. There are no cloud saves, but overall, it should run quite well.

You can get the game and redeem it to your account on the Epic Games Store. It will be free for 24 hours before it goes back to its sale price of $6.59.
