Dying Light: The Beast continues the story of Kyle Crane, the original Dying Light's protagonist, now transformed into a sentient volatile. With an intriguing setting and gameplay more focused on survival, it'll be interesting to see how the game plays out.
But what's really exciting for us is that the game has just received a Steam Deck Verified badge ahead of its release in just a few hours.
If you want to catch up with Kyle Crane's story to be ready for The Beast, you can watch the video below. Obviously, it does contain spoilers for Dying Light and Dying Light: The Following.
Given the relatively high system requirements for Dying Light: The Beast, we weren't sure if this one would be playable on the Steam Deck, but it's great to see that Techland has clearly spent some time making the game playable on the handheld, and cares enough to announce the verification themselves pre-launch.

Dying Light: The Beast will be available on Steam from 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT / 6 PM CEST on September 18th, 2025, for $59.99. It is Steam Deck Verified.
