Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is one of my favorite 3D platformers to play on the Steam Deck. Developer Purple Lamp brought back one of my favorite Disney games, and I love the more serious and dark take on Mickey Mouse. When it was released, I was blown away by how well the game ran on the Steam Deck, but there are always improvements to be made, and this update should make it more enjoyable to play on multiple devices.

The new update is a small one, but it fixes two specific issues that plague the Steam Deck. The game didn't set the resolution correctly on the Deck, so that is first fixed. Then, Purple Lamp changed up Steam Cloud saves to exclude user settings, so you will now have separate settings on the Deck and other devices. This is extremely helpful, and allows you to not have to change settings when switching to a more powerful PC.

While the game is already amazing to play on the Deck, I do appreciate these updates to make it easier to play without needing to change settings much. In my review, I mention that 45 FPS is the way to go for a good balance of battery life, smoothness, and great looking visuals. You can comfortably push it to 55 FPS with higher quality, which is nice, but it has a much bigger strain on the battery life. Still, these all involved changing some settings, so reducing the need for that is nice.
