After more than two years in Early Access, the real-time strategy game Diplomacy is Not An Option has now been officially released for the PC in its 1.0 version. With "Very Positive" user reviews, Door 407's RTS with a medieval theme has gained a solid reputation on Steam. The game's campaign, which includes numerous factions, dozens of missions, and over 100 hours of gameplay, is expanded with the full release. This game offers an incredible experience if you enjoy base-building survival games with a twist of strategic decision-making.
With three factions to choose from, six distinct endings, and a story-driven campaign with branching choices, the 1.0 update offers players an abundance of engaging content. In addition to having you constantly outnumbered and having to manage everything from your economy to magical powers—along with warding off legions of enemies—Diplomacy is Not An Option offers a unique blend of humor and tactical depth. The game never gets boring with missions that vary from protecting your stronghold to taking on enormous bosses.
The 1.0 release includes a neat new Twitch integration feature, which lets streamers and their fans participate in gameplay directly. For those who are streaming, the experience is interactive as viewers have the ability to spawn raiders, vote on events, and even send reinforcements.

With plans for a map editor, additional sandbox content, and a new undead faction in future updates, the game's future appears bright as well. Clearly a mainstay of the RTS genre, Diplomacy is Not An Option appeals to players who enjoy big-scale combat and strategic survival. To keep on top of all future updates, why not Wishlist it on Steam today?

Would this be any good for a beginner? The visuals look great, and I've been playing some more casual 4X games recently, but every time I try RTS I bounce off on the account of being utterly overwhelmed.
