Cook Serve Delicious has been one of my favorite cooking games to play, and after a rough start, it looks like the newest entry in the series may be starting to hit its stride. There have been a ton of improvements to Cook Serve Forever over the course of its 2 year Early Access tenure, and with 1.0 hitting this summer, we have one more massive update to make the game fully content complete.

Cook Serve Forever

This big update was released yesterday, and while it has some great new additions, it also brings with it tons of Steam Deck support. The controller UI and main menu has become clearer to look at for smaller displays, there have been improvements to performance, and the game no longer needs Proton Experimental to play. If you have used it before, you can uncheck the box to force any compatibility layer. The team will also be submitting the game to get Steam Deck Verified soon!

This update also includes multiple new chapters in the story with over 25 new locations and new challenges, which completes the full campaign/story. There's also a new Cookbook to view sticker progress, new backgrounds of Charlotte and Young Nori in the tutorial, a new Game Maker engine build to help performance and video playback more, Accuracy is now properly balanced with missed holding steps, and some bug fixes here and there.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Cook Serve Forever is on sale for $13.49 until May 13th and is rated Unsupported, but it is still playable on the Steam Deck.
