Cat God Ranch looks like quite an intriguing game. You lead animals to pay tribute to the cat god, managing them to make sure the combination of animals you have on the field will be enough to appease the god. It looks like a fun management game, and it's one that is getting better to play on the Steam Deck.

The new update brings with it a couple of very welcome optimizations, with one of them being for the Steam Deck. Compatibility has been optimized for the Deck, making sure it can be fully playable and enjoyable on the go. It doesn't mention exactly what has changed, but any optimizations that help with the Deck is welcome!

We also have improved resource loading speed and some fixes for a crash issue, tooltips, and a problem where an achievement wouldn't be triggered in Endless Mode. All of this coincides with the game's Switch version launch, which is now available for both the Switch and Switch 2, and is 20% off. This discount is only for the Switch version, but the game is relatively cheap, and I wouldn't say it's unreasonable.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Cat God Ranch is available for $9.99 and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons, small in-game text, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, and needing to manually set and configure the display resolution. Hopefully, the new update makes most of these issues disappear.
