With the Indiegogo campaign now live, the AYANEO AIR 1S sounds like it will be an incredible device that will hit a lot of the spots that haven't been covered by the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or other devices. The AMOLED screen, hall-effect joysticks, and more portable form factor all wrapped in with power that seems on-par with the Z1 Extreme chip. It sounds too good to be true right? Well, to soothe over any nay-sayers, AYANEO has released a group of videos showcasing games running on the device.

The 9 videos released range from different heavy hitters like Forza Horizon 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. From what I can see so far, performance looks to be impressive and it is exciting:

Forza Horizon 5 / Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Playable)

Horizon Zero Dawn (Verified)

Bright Memory: Infinite (Verified)

DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT (Verified)

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (Verified)

Gungrave G.O.R.E (Verified)

Lies of P Demo (Playable)

MotoGP 23 (Unknown)

DAVE THE DIVER (Verified)

So far, the results look exciting. Horizon Zero Dawn able to hit 60 FPS at 20W in 720p low settings, Death Stranding able to hit 60, and Forza Horizon 5 running over 60 has me really excited in particular. I am definitely going to be watching this device a bit closely to see just how much it matches up against the ROG Ally in terms of newer games like Exoprimal and Remnant 2.

The AYANEO AIR 1S isn't released yet, but it does have an Indiegogo campaign live now. The early bird price is still on-going, which will allow you to get a version of the device that seems to match the ROG Ally in performance for $799, which is only $100 more than the Ally itself. If it really has similar power, but with a more portable form factor, AMOLED screen, and hall joysticks, the extra $100 would be incredible.
