Airborne Empire is shaping up to be a solid sequel to Airborne Kingdom. While I enjoy it a lot, it is a challenge to get it to work well on the Steam Deck, and this is on the rougher side performance wise. Many players with Linux and Steam have experienced occasional freezes when playing on the Steam Deck. However, a new patch today has fixed the issue!

It’s nice when we get patches that specifically address problems with games on the Steam Deck, and this new update by The Wandering Band should go a long way to fix the freezing issues players have encountered with Airborne Empire. It's important to note however that while progress has been made regarding performance (building off last week’s patch), the game still needs a fair bit of work to become Verified for the Steam Deck.

Airborne Empire is on sale for $20.99 until September 13.
