A Plague Tale: Innocence is Epic’s next free game for the holidays and it’s a fantastic one. On Steam, it is rated Steam Deck Playable due to small text and needing to change graphics settings for optimal performance, but otherwise, it can run quite well on the portable device! If you lower everything enough, and use FSR 2, you could even hit 60 FPS!

You can get A Plague Tale: Innocence for free to keep on Epic for the next 23 hours my before the next game unlocks, and this one goes back to its sale price. You can redeem the game on the Epic Games Store. To play games from Epic on the Deck, you will need to either install the Heroic Games Launcher, which you can find on the Discover Store, or install the client directly, which you can do easily through a 3rd party script.
