Earlier today, AYANEO started unveiling 2 of their upcoming devices on Twitter and I am quite excited by what I see so far. The handhelds are very different in what they are trying to do, with one being Android-based while the other is a Windows device. Regardless, both seem they will push far into different categories in interesting and exciting ways:

AYANEO Pocket AIR - The Android Handheld Console

First up, we have the Pocket AIR, AYANEO's first foray into Android consoles. This device will carry with it a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen while keeping the thin and light design similar to the AIR devices they have already pushed out. On top of that, you can expect a Dimensity 1200 processor to power the device, along with a 7350mAh battery, an X-axis linear motor, and hall joysticks and triggers. It will also utilize SoundTapMagic (an audio vibration system) to bring awesome sound quality to the device.

While there is no price point yet, the device is planned to go live on IndieGogo later this month and shipping for it will begin in August!

AYANEO KUN - The Windows Handheld With Touchpads

AYANEOKunEdited

Honestly, I am surprised nobody has done this before the Steam Deck, but I am so excited to see it happening again! The AYANEO KUN is the second device coming from the company that is promising a fantastic 8.4 inch color screen with the longest battery life that the company has produced. On top of that, they are saying this will be the most powerful Windows handheld ever made!

There are no specs released yet, but this will feature an eight-directional D-pad, as well as the hall joysticks and triggers and fingerprint recognition. Personally, I am way more excited to see that this device will feature touchpads, which should be fantastic for navigating the desktop. It's one of the big reasons I love my Deck so much. There will also be rear buttons, though it isn't confirmed whether there will be 1 or 2 on each side. Interestingly, there will also be a face recognition camera with Windows Hello support, which isn't something I have seen in a device like this yet.

There is no set date or price for the device yet, but the IndieGogo launch will be coming soon!

And those are the two devices announced today! AYANEO definitely moves fast and makes a chunk of devices, but I am so excited to see the innovation and possibilities with these 2. I personally want to know more about the KUN since I love the inclusion of touchpads and I am intrigued by the face recognition camera. All in all, this is going to be interesting to say the least!
