As teased weeks ago, JSAUX is making the next generation of their Steam Deck dock, this one adding a very specific feature that could improve the user's experience.

This dock aims to expand your storage space by putting in a full M.2 SSD slot in the dock itself! According to their blog post, the new slot will be able to support 30, 42, 60, and 80mm M.2 models with storage capacities up to 2TB, as well as supporting NVMe 1.4 with read speeds up to 3300Mbps.

This dock will also feature the 100W power delivery USB C, 2 USB 3.0, a HDMI port that offers 4K at 60hz or 2K at 120hz, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

The new JSAUX dock will go live on their website next week and the first 100 people to place orders will get the early bird price of $99, which will come with the dock, free skins, keycap sets, and a portable stand. This is a big jump from their current flagship dock, which is $50 (which we reviewed). There is also no mention of what the price will be after the initial 100 get their orders in.

I think this is a fantastic leap to giving users a more console-like experience with their Decks. Now, you could store specific games on that NVMe which you will only want to play docked. On top of that, using this as a computer will mean certain files and programs only to be used in desktop mode with a mouse and keyboard can be saved on there instead of your internal storage. I am looking forward to seeing the release of the dock, how it works, and if the higher price point will justify the change.

What do you guys think of the new dock? Do you feel the price could justify the upgrades? Let us know in the comments!
