Apart from Diablo, there have been a few hack-and-slash action RPGs that caught my attention, and one of those was Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. There was something about its skill tree and customization that caught my attention, and I enjoyed playing the game when it was released. Now, the sequel has just been announced, and Wolcen 2 is on the way. And it sounds like it’s going to be one that we can enjoy playing on the go.

WOLCEN 2

With the announcement earlier today, I reached out and asked developer/publisher WOLCEN Studio about Steam Deck compatibility. They mentioned that it’s playable on the Xeck, but no dedicated work has been done to support us yet. However, they will officially be supporting it.

It's playable on SteamDeck, though no dedicated work has been done for the support yet. But we will officially support it.

WOLCEN Studio on Wolcen 2 Steam Deck Compatibility

I’m excited to see how it’s going to turn out, especially because I would love to have more hack-and-slash action RPGs to take on the go. It looks like it’s going to have a similar system to its predecessor, where there are no classes and a vast skill tree to shape the abilities you unlock. It looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to play it for myself.

Wolcen 2 can be wishlisted on Steam ahead of its release into early access next year.
