There was a small SteamOS update that was released right before the weekend that fixes an issue in certain launchers. Recently, some launchers for games, like Zenless Zone Zero and Final Fantasy 14, both had black screens during their launchers, but with this new update, it should be fixed now. We do still have a known issue for performance degradation with FSR enabled, but this fix is in the stable version of SteamOS.
You can download the updates yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.
